Working on a project that requires 90 boards to be cut for a cedar fence along with the 4x4s.

I think we had about a foot and a half of snow over the Valentine’s Day/Presidents’ Birthday long weekend. Found myself shoveling off the roof as we had some drifting.

I have a nice supply of live edge slabs. They are priced by the board foot and type of wood. Slabs with a live edge are being used for coffee tables, dining tables, bar tops in restaurants, countertops and desk tops. I’m currently working on a dining table top that is 66″ x 66″!

Hey! I cut some Pin Oak on December 8 and the colors are fantastic. I think I’ll sell them for $350 a slab. 2″ thick and about 30″ wide. Two glued together would make a nice table!

Getting the office and woodshop closed in and heated. Looks different around here.

We got some large pin oak, pine and maple in Ridgefield, WA, last week.

I took time out to mill some cedar lumber so I could build a deck for Shirley and me!

I needed 30 2x6s and got double that out of this big boy. The cedar log was 38 inches across at the butt end. Since my mill handles a maximum of 36 inches, it took some trimming with the chainsaw! In the end I got about 350 board feet out of it.
